The vase features a unique basket-like form with a functional handle. The body is characterized by multiple horizontal incised lines, emphasizing the powerful texture of the Bizen clay. The surface displays the characteristic Hidasuki (scarlet lines from straw in the kiln) and Yohen (kiln effects) unique to Bizen ware, creating a deep and rustic aesthetic. This distinctive basket design is perfect for displaying wildflowers (chabana) or for various styles of ikebana. It comes with the original wooden box (tomobako) inscribed "Kago Hanaire" and "Keishu Saku," authenticating the piece.
